  1. First off I want to apologize for not being able to make it in last Wednesday. I was stuck in Utah for a funeral and our flight got delayed. I have not made much progress this week, sad to say. I got ill pretty much as soon as I got back and have not been conscious long enough to really get anything done. I am hoping to be back at one hundred percent by Wednesday so I can at least show what I do have done from last week and the tiny bit that I have been able to do while I was out of town.
Drawing monsters is as hard as I thought it would be and I am going to have to look at references and study exactly how to go about drawing them since I do not usually do so. The same goes with backgrounds. I really just want to be able to push myself out of my comfort zone and make this project something that helps me develop more in my range of ability to draw.
While I was away I started to try and think of a way to start the comic. I have two ideas sort of sketched out but I am not entirely sure if I want to begin with either of them. I may try and write some of the story to see if I can find a place to start. Hopefully I can start a comic page soon because I would like to get that under way, then finish up turn arounds and a line up for the main characters.

  2. ok so interesting week, first my computer got smashed then the transmission on my car broke. despite all that I am pleased with all that I got done. I managed to finish another chapter and got it edited, not as quickly as I would have Liked but beggars can't be choosers.
In this next chapter I explore some more in who Love used to be and I grow the character of Ms. Hickston. also I introduce a Shadow into the story without actually having to show him. I liked this chapter because I was able to get some action in without having to dedicate the whole thing to one epic fight. I managed to have an epic fight off screen and I think I did a good job at keep interest.
In this chapter I give some background on Ms. Hickston without having to say “hay she was a reclaimer once!” so hopefully some of the smarter readers can figure that out. I really enjoyed writing the before and after of the big fight scene. That scene is rather important and so I liked that I didn't actually show it, that I kept the shadow's a mystery. I am really looking forward to their big reveal later in chapter eight.
I had planned to write the chapter on Saturday as I usually do, however my laptop screen was smashed before I could get past “Chapter 4.” And so I was forced to write it at a later date because I was too depressed to write anything that day. I did manage to get it done so that's something.
