Answer these questions as a comment to this blog entry in class today.
1) I have the most art. The visual elements that carry the most from piece to piece are my sloppy line work. It is getting better but I am a far way off from anything great.
ReplyDelete2)on a whole my work tends to be very abstract. there is a piece I did back in my first painting class. it was of a hallway with clouds and sun painted on one wall and night and stars in the other. there was a set of eyes at the end of the hall. It always confused people and I enjoyed it.
3)on a whole I rush to much and my work can come across as sloppy. most of it is unsuited for my goals because I don't want to do art.
4)honestly I don't think any of my work could be in a exhibition.
I have a lot of character design work. I also have a storyboard that I left at home today that had a lot of time and effort put into it.
ReplyDeleteI think I have a good eye for color, composition, and design. To me, the image of my dog and gerbil stand out strongly because they took a lot of effort.
I think I really need to work on doing backgrounds. It's easy to make a figure but it's hard to put it into a space.
I think I could use my gerbil, my dog, and a few of my digital illustrations for an exhibition.
1) Vector art, I usually incorporate art nouveau and Art deco into my pieces. My art work has improved greatly since Fall 2009?
ReplyDelete2) Color, the color schemes are usually pretty good in my pieces. I can't really say off the top of my head which ones stand out but I can say that my Kitchen Kabaret posters look the best out of the entire group.
3) Some of the pieces were done rather quickly and done to meet the assignment given.
4) I need to learn how to use texture more and get a bit better at typography.
